Ugh

Sometimes, in the process of revising and editing and revising some more, I feel like I'm totally losing the voice of the character and the pacing. I have a long ways to go in balancing description and such with the flow and characters voice. I wish I knew how to fix this.

I'm sure you haven't lost the voice as much as you think you have. Maybe you could go back over your character lists (Or whatever you use to create your characters). Or you could use one of Holly Lisle's techniques which is to have your character talk to you for ten minutes about anything (I think that is really good way of doing things). Maybe a small exercise like that could help you get back in touch with you character. Maybe you don't know everything about your character yet and you have to find something out about her background or personality that will make her voice really strong and vibrant.

I don't know if any of those suggestions will help, but maybe they could give you some ideas on how you could fix things ^_^ Hope they were helpful.

Thanks Black, I hope not.

I'm going to try the character talk thing once I'm done organizing my storylines stuff. And by organizing I mean redoing it all. :(

I think your ideas will help. Thanks for suggesting them!

Glad that I can be of help ^_^

Just look at it this way, it might not be such a bad thing to reorganise.
1. You could have fun.
2. You may learn stuff you never have before, making the novel even more exciting!
Keep up the good work Wolo!
