SQUEE!

So stoked! My meeting with the Writer in Residence went awesome. Awe. Some. I haven't been this eager to write in months. Months! I have new techniques and constructive critique to digest. Some of my writers block has been addressed. I now understand what was bothering me and why it was bothering me. I can't stress enough how much of a relief that is. I wrote words today! Shiny, bright new words full of possibility. My creative brain came up with new interesting things (small things, but that was all that was needed for a particular scene). I love that I now have some tools with which to fix things that aren't working in my writing either stylistically or storywise.

Happy, happy, happy.

On Being An Adult

Being an adult means I don't have to eat the peas in my fried rice. Instead, I can flick them off to the side to linger in sorrow till I dump their unwanted green selves into the garbage.
...

Dammit, I shouldn't have written it like that. Now I feel bad. :(
...

But I'm still not gonna eat them. *folds arms*

Back, sort of

Internet is back finally. Moving has happened. Many boxes still litter the ground like mines eager to snag us. Heater leaked heater fluid all over the floor, wrecking several boxes and requiring much clean up.

It's been way to hectic (and my computer only just got set up late last night) to be doing any real writing. So I've had to content myself with occasionally polishing what does exist during my breaks at work. Better than nothing?

Am cleaning up the first 3k words of story to send off to the local writer in residence. Crossing my fingers this goes well.

So behind on commenting and writing and everything else, I despair of ever catching up.
