And I have no idea where it goes except to say that I have been swamped with homework. Swamped. Swaaaaamped. Also, my wrists hurt like hell because of the ass shit setup here for my comp so I am having to baby them. which is hard to do when you have umpteen assignments due.
My film script is making my brain explode with frustration. Oh yea, so I forgot to mention that I've got to get a full or feature length film script done and I have one semester to do it. Now you know.
I had an idea I was really hoping to use, but the world building, which is absolutely crucial to the plot and characters, eludes me. Not all of it, but enough that I am at a standstill.
So I came up with a different idea. A western revenge thing with some light supernatural influence.
Also at a standstill (not because of world building).
So is it the concepts, or the brain? At this point my money's on brain all the way.
Fucking brain.

Odds and Sods
Going The Distance is a fantastic fucking movie. I laughed so hard, so many times. One to own. "Tastes like poison!"
Less than a month left in the semester. Holy shit, where did the time go? So many assignments left! So little time in which to get them done! Every time I turn around I've lost a month's worth of time somehow.
If You Run by Boxer Rebellion. Also fantastic.
Turns out my script prof will be teaching the next level of the course next semester. I talked to her and she very enthusiastically has allowed me to take one of my short ideas and expand on it with every assignment next semester. Basically by the time both courses are done, I'll have almost a full length movie scripted out. I am simultaneously very excited, and daunted by the task I've assigned myself. Wild West Steampunk (also known as Weird West) with some extra twists folks. Can't wait.
If they ever get around to offering the next fiction work-shopping course I'm going to ask to do the same for that. There's no way I'll get a book done, by any means, but I might be able to get a significant chunk of one knocked off.
Still looking for a beginner's drawing class. Haven't given up on that. Still wish I had a fucking artist for the webcomic idea(s) swimming in my brain.
I wish I had something funny to write, but there's been a dearth of funny lately.
Maybe I need to have a life like this woman's: http://thebloggess.com/
On second thought. No. No I don't.

Street Kings
Is an interesting movie and worth a watch. I'm not even going to attempt to give you a plot summary because it might spoil the movie for you, and because it changes a lot throughout the story. They did a great job of keeping the anti-hero protag very much a "someone you're not quite sure you should root for" kind of guy. It's a shades of grey movie, strongly so. If you're looking for a clear-cut, hero wins all flick, this ain't for you. It's fairly violent and decently bloody.
Bigger, Stronger, Faster
Aweosme documentary. Want to have your beliefs about sterioids challenged? Watch this. The bit about Ben Johnson versus Carl Lewis is absolutely sad and fascinating all at once. The man should not have had his medal taken away by Carl Lewis of all people. Seriously, very good movie with moments that really make you think and question the crap we've been fed on this subject.
Enjoy!
